Rylie and the Eurasian Market

Greetings from Astana---
We hope you are all well. Here are some pictures from our past two days with Rylie. She's been really active lately. Yesterday, we even heard what we think was a little song. She was singing and rocking her head back and forth. It was very cute. She's been very into her books lately, especially Are You Ticklish? is definitely a favorite. Today we looked out the window and watched some of the 2 and 3 year olds outside playing on the sleds. It was a very cute scene!
Here are some pics of Rylie reading. Over the past two days, she's started babbling along while she's reading.
Rylie loves the baby carrier.
And the best part is, it makes her sleepy!
Rylie thought Adam's funny faces were the best. She couldn't stop giggling....
Oh, and Adam was not really growing a beard. His electric shaver stopped re-charging, so we didn't get him a razor and shaving cream until yesterday. So the little beard is gone :-)

We also went back to the Eurasian Market this afternoon. This is the shopping center that has the huge farmer's market on the first floor. Here are a few pictures of the food section.
The meat is in another room. Additionally, because of the prominant Muslim presence, the pork is separated from the rest of the meat in a completely separate room.
So that's the story from here. We hope you are all well. And as far as coming attractions go... we are going to some horseback riding place in the countryside tomorrow. And Saturday night is the opera- the St. Petersburg performance of Aida.

Love to everyone---

Hi,

Rylie is as cute as ever and you look wonderful. The carrier acts like one long snuggle - I can see why Rylie would get comfy cozy and sleepy. Enjoy this low key relaxing time with each other - a luxury for sure. The market looks spotless. Everything appears so much cleaner and well kept than the states. Is it just the pictures? Stay well. Take care. Hugs and Kisses. Love, Aunt Raggedy

Rylie continues to be adorable! I don't think that will ever change, though! The market does look like the Westside Market, and maybe I wouldn't use the word "nicer"--how about a little less character maybe?! :)

Horseback riding and the opera. How sophisticated of you!

Love, Michele

Hi - what great pictures - so much reminds us of the days when it was Adam on the floor looking at dad's silly face :) She looks like an academic already - reading and studying! And that market does look like it would give Whole Foods some competition. We're counting the days -

Hello!

Rylie is so cute and of course I love that she is a reader already!

When I was looking at your site today, Jordyn saw a picture of Rylie and said, "baby." I told her that was her friend Rylie, so as I scrolled down the pictures, she kept pointing and saying Rylie. It was very cute. Keep the pictures coming until we can meet her in person!

Love, Hannah

i can understand feeling like its groundhog's day over and over. but...definitely cherish every moment.
