Happy November!

Hi everyone----
Hope you're all well. Sorry no post yesterday. We just got back from a great visit with Baby T. She was much more herself today, after two pretty rough days in a row. Her doctor checked her out told us what medicine to get her. After two days on the medicine, she seemed a lot better today. So that made everyone much happier. We had lots of smiles and giggles today. Otherwise, she is doing great. She is almost grown out of the 6 months clothing we brought, but the 9 month stuff is still a little big. Hopefully that will fit her all the way until we get home. She is definitely one of the chunkier babies here (that's how we knew instantly she was meant to be our's!) It looks like we'll be here longer than initially anticipated- probably closer to New Year's. But the truth is, we'd stay here forever for her- but don't tell the Kazakhstani government- we're starting to think they might take us up on that! I mean, it is nice here and all, but we're starting to miss the sunshine :-) So for a more detailed description..... She has crazy black hair that sticks up all over the place. When we first met her, they said her hair sticks up just like Adam's! One of her caregivers sticks it up when we come in to get her and says "Like Papa"- it is very cute. She has really beautiful eyes, and the hugest cheeks ever. She is absolutely gorgeous- and yes, Eddie and Veronica- that is a completely unbiased, objective description!!!

We actually have an appointment to get our internet installed tomorrow, so hopefully it will finally get set up. Yesterday we got a few gifts to bring home for Baby T. We found two books that are in Russian, Kazakh, and English- one about the months of the year and another about the Kazakh orchestra. We thought that would be a special way for us to teach her about her culture.

So that's the report from Astana. We are definitely feeling like things are falling into place. While this is completely the most stressful experience of our lives (it makes the Bar Exam seem like a piece of cake!) it is still the most wonderful experience of our lives and we would not trade it for anything. We just can't wait to bring Baby T home to meet all of you! And we know she is excited too. She loves to look at the baby photo album of pictures of the family we brought for her, even though most of the time she ends up trying to eat it.

Hope you are all well. As far as the special teething rings, I don't think anything would ever make it to us over here. But we will definitely take you up on one once we're back home- thanks!!
