Giggles, Giggles, and More Giggles

Hi from Astana---
We've had a good past two days with two great visits with Baby T and a couple of walks exploring the city.
On Monday when we got to the Baby House, Baby T had not eaten breakfast yet, so they let Sara feed her. Let's just say it didn't go so well. She was less than interested in me feeding her and more interested in getting out of her high chair to go play. After sticking her hand in her bowl of "oatmeal" a couple of times, her doctor basically said (in Russian)- okay, that's enough. If she is really hungry, she'll eat. So that was the end of breakfast. We got up and went to the playroom for the rest of our visit.
During our visit, we had a little bit of a raspberry blowing competition. Baby T loves to blow raspberries. We would go back and forth blowing raspberries and Baby T loved it. She would giggle every time it was her turn. Plus, Sara found a new ticklish spot under Baby T's chin. She has the loudest, cutest laugh when you tickle her there. It is really adorable. I think we did that for 20 minutes because it was just so cute! Plus we discovered she has TWO dimples!!!
Yesterday afternoon, we were going to go to the Chesed- the Jewish Community Center here. Due to a car situation, we didn't end up getting there yesterday. Maybe later this week.
This morning, Baby T was in rare form when we got to the Baby House. She was so funny for the first half hour. She giggled and giggled and giggled, sometimes for what seemed like no reason. She's a very happy baby, that's for sure! She played a lot of "Coo Coo" (Russian peak a boo) with Daddy and also played in the big bin of balls- which she loves. Plus, as always, we spent a lot of time playing with her stacking cups and plastic keys. Those are definitely her favorites!
After our visit, we went for another long walk and explored a new area of town. We found a couple of new shopping centers and another produce market kind of place. The stuff didn't look as good as the produce at the other market, but this one is walking distance from our apartment. We are definitely enjoying the whole "Urban life" again and being able to walk places- especially after our recent move to the 'burbs. We're trying to take advantage of the walking weather as much as possible. Apparently it is supposed to get really cold soon- and even snow too! (Just to give you an idea of just how far north we are- Astana is at around the same latitude line as Winipeg!) I think by the time we get home, we will NEVER claim to miss winter weather ever again! We will happily put our gloves and scarves away forever.....
Otherwise, not much else to report. Still playing a lot of scrabble (Adam is very happy to report that he FINALLY won last night- even though Sara sat for 20 minutes before making her final move to see if there was any possible way to win. But Adam won by 3 points! It's a good thing we aren't competitive...) Still eating a lot of soup, and definitely getting sick of the beets- which may not be a good thing. We still have a long way to go....
Oh, one last thing. Baby T's debut has been postponed. Saturday night back in the States, Sunday morning here. We're sorry for the delay, but we promise---- the pictures will exceed all of your expectations!
